I don't know what is more shocking, the hair styles from 88 or lack of hair styles now.

UPDATE > The committee had our meeting this afternoon and we have narrowed down a small heap of locations. We hope to narrow it down further and then pick the winner soon. I guarantee youll love our decision! Itll be fun and unique in one way or another. Ill keep you informed. Things are coming together very well and the ball is rolling! Check back in and see the constant changes and updates to the site. Its so much fun to see and hear about all of you, what a long strange trip!

QUESTION > Do you have something or some connection that could help the process for the committee? Like a buddy in the beer business or a friend who owns a catering business or someone who would sponsor us with a tax deductible donation of several thousand dollars. Anything that you think might help let me know us know < reunion@nicolet-1988.com >

REQUEST > We are putting together a slide show for the reunion along with a video that I made during the last day of school in 1988. PLEASE send in any old pictures or videos, when we get them all we will post them and also present them during the even itself. Send in em and make it more fun. If you have a fun idea let us know about that in this forum, as well. That is what its for!!

Right on and Solid!

I AM SHOCKED TO SEE HOW MANY OF OUR CLASS MATES HAVE PASSED AWAY. IT MAKES THE UPCOMING REUNION ALL THE MORE IMPORTANT. SO, I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THOSE WHO ARE WORKING TOWARD THAT GOAL.

Drew, thanks for all the time you are putting into taking care of this website. You are doing a great job! It's been really nice reading up on long lost classmates from decades ago. Thanks also to all who are planning the reunion. I hope to be there.

Thanks so much for working so hard on all of this! It's been so fun reading and catching up. My husband said he wishes they had a site like this for his reunion last year. Guess they didn't have the talent of you to get this up and running! Thanks again!

I just wanted to express some of the same sentiments that have already been expressed. In particular the sadness I feel for the classmates that have passed. I knew most of them on some level and they were all good people. Dan Stevens was a good friend of mine and a rebel to be admired. I got a chance to hang out with Jill Kessler at Summerfest a year after we graduated(like most guys I had a major crush on her in high school) and she was one of the most fun people I have ever met. Not to mention beautiful.

I think it is great that our classmates have done our own things and have defined success by our own standards. I also appreciate all the effort that has been put forth by the committee. They have made this process simple and fun. I hope more people participate.

I just heard about Coach Grip passing away. Such a bummer&

It's so sweet to know that Grip has gone on to be with his long lost beloved mind...

I remember when he had us punt on 3rd down - twice! No wonder we only won one game!

I also remember he said to me once "Hey Staples, ya know why I call ya Staples, Staples?" To which I had to reply "Um, is it cause my name is Stapleman, coach?" And he said "Yeh, that's right!"... He couldn't figure out why I cracked up.

It was almost as good as the time he told me I was as tough as staples. And I was like, coach, staples arent really that tough. You can take em out with one of those pinchy things. He looked at me real out of focus for a few seconds and said not those kind of staples, Staples! Im talking about the big kind, you know copper ones that hold boxes together and stuff! So I said thanks coach and walked off.

It was so confusing and wonderfully funny... I loved that guy!

So Thanks Coach! You will be missed in as many ways as you missed!

Lets all have one for the Gripper!

Um, I'd simply like to say that I think we're off a bit and this is only our 10yr Reunion. No way can 20 years have gone by!

I'm still in denial ;)

See you all there,

Susan

Bill not my first name in high school Basquin

I was in Milwaukee in January for an art opening, and I stopped by Nicolet for the first time since December 1988.

I spent a lot of time in the theatre department while I was in high school, and Mr. Ken Miller is the faculty member with whom I had the closest ties. He still works at Nicolet, and I talked to him for awhile that day in January 2008, when I visited.

I say this only because I'd like to invite him to the reunion, and there ar other teachers hom I think it would be nice to invite, but I have no contact information for them. Can you guys get/do you have contact info for our former teachers so that we may invite them?

Thank you.

--Bill Basquin
