I remember Eric was freaking hilarious and always good for a laugh. I still have a light cover in the shape of a hot air balloon that he got with a discount from Pier One while he worked there. I hung it in my sons room and think about Eric every time I see it. It was a shock to hear he had joined the service and of course more of a shock to hear he had been killed. I miss that dude&

Eric was a real cool guy. We had a couple of history classes together. I remember he and I started throwing marshmallows at one another and then the whole class joined in. He was funny. He was always good for some laughs.

Eric was a wild man. Sweet would never have been my description for him. We spent a lot of years getting into mischief together before high school and into our freshman year. He was extremely creative, with an a priori penchant for war games, and things that go boom. We made a lot of things go boom! We had lots of adventures together. We lost touch through the later years of high school, and grew apart. The year he died, I was in Madison, and I received a phone call out of the blue from him. Sadly I missed it, and couldn't track him down before it was too late. I think about him often, and he comes up in the stories I tell my son, Eli.

I have to thank Eric for introducing me to Jodie in our Junior Year. I have lots of memories of skate boarding with Eric. He was a fun guy!
From Jodie Zimmerman: I remember hearing about Eric's death and was shocked! I had seen him shortly after the Gulf War when I worked at Concours Motors. He told me really detailed stories about being on the front line! He got a thrill out of that. After that, we met up in SanDiego and went to Tijuana, MX for some fun!! He was a much different guy then. I also have him to thank for introducing me to Tom.
